Almost Touching the Clouds

Do you dream of living on top of a mountain? What about building your cherished abode on such an elevated environment? Will the lifestyle here be much better than on normal ground or sea level?

Most likely.

Whether you're planning to construct a house in the countryside, rural area, or within an urban center, settling down in residential communities is one of the safest options out there. And choosing an ideal address either on the plains, valleys, or on higher platforms would be determined by various factors. It's a subjective decision, isn't it?

I for one would truly love to live on top of a mountain for the following strategic reasons:

  • These elevated neighborhoods are geographically isolated, far away from the annoying noise and unhealthy pollution commonly found in regular cities, contributing to fresher natural surroundings.

  • Prevailing temperatures in these gated locations are much cooler compared to the hotter atmospheres of lower housing developments.

  • Nowhere else can you fully enjoy breathtaking panoramas of your immediate environment - landmass, sea, and sky in one picturesque ensemble.

These are only a few points, yet there are many more crucial considerations that may influence your smart choice of pursuing the “high life”.

Some time ago, I had the tremendous pleasure of touring around a luxurious residential community. It was a sunny afternoon, the perfect weather to browse for eye-catching properties as future investments and to gain valuable ideas of the existing real estate market. Call it a travel escapade, architectural tour, and learning experience all fused into one trip.

This gated subdivision’s clubhouse was the first landmark to welcome me. With its Spanish-inspired character, it was the central hub where you get to enjoy a 360-degree perspective of most of the scenic surroundings such as the residential community itself, its immediate neighbors, its impeccable amenities like the common swimming pools, and especially the unobstructed views of the cityscapes below. Breathtaking!

While standing there, I had direct visual access to the swimming pools downstairs. Too bad - if only I brought my aquatic attire, I would have plunged into its inviting blue waters right away, soaking in its comforting depths. However, there were more attractions waiting to be explored. My feet were becoming restless. Thus, I didn't waste a single minute walking further away from the clubhouse to investigate the sloping streets and occupying buildings of this posh neighborhood.

Next, how could I ignore the obvious presence of houses in all their architectural splendor? Depending on the size, shape, and terrain of their purchased lots, these interesting projects stood majestically against the compelling background of the bright blue sky. Some of these towering masterpieces of architecture even appeared like kissing the clouds. Yeah, they were that close!

As I continued strolling up and down the long and winding roads, more residential properties revealed themselves, smiling at me as I admired their fascinating curb appeals from the roadside. There were also several green elements adding to the location’s natural charm. It had the perfect blend of environmental features that enhanced the exquisiteness of the entire place.

Although there were some empty lots, the green grasses, trees, and foliage covering their sloping grounds compensated for the lack of constructed developments. Without a doubt, this gorgeous residential community was well maintained, further convincing me to raise my thumb of approval. I was certainly impressed and would probably invest here someday.

It was already late in the afternoon. And as I was on my way towards the exit gates, I stood by the clubhouse swimming pool for the last time to say goodbye. Wow, what a spectacular view!
